Q
1. How does the booking process work?
 
 

STEP 1. REQUEST AVAILABILITY AND CONFIRMATION

You can use our search tool located at the top of the page so as to choose the apartment suiting your needs, check the availability in our calendars, select arrival date and departure date, the number of people travelling and any special requirement you may have. Our system will quote you a price and take you to the book online form.

STEP 2. BOOKING INFORMATION

• You will need to complete a book on line form with your personal information

• To process the booking, we will ask you to send the following information.

- Full name and passport number.
- Your full address and telephone number.
- Your credit card details.

• Once we receive your personal data, we will confirm your booking as soon as possible with a maximum of 24 hours.

• Remember that there is a 3 night minimum in all of our apartments.

STEP 3. PAYMENT

• At the same time we confirm the booking, we will collect the 25% reservation deposit. If you choose to do the deposit payment via credit card rest assured the information goes through via secure server. You could call us to give us your credit card details and we can take payment over the phone.

• The advance payment is necessary to complete your reservation. The remaining part of the payment 75% must be paid in CASH upon arrival. Remember NO CASH NO CHECKING.

• Important Note: Your reservation will only be FULLY EFFECTIVE when we receive via fax, e-mail, or phone your Credit Card Details for the 25% booking deposit.

• Once we received the Credit Card Authorization form we will send you a booking confirmation together with some arrival and departure information and the house rules.

Please note that the 25% reservation deposit is non-refundable. For fully paid reservations please see our cancellation policy in the Terms and Conditions section.

  
   
2. How do I pay for the booking?
 
You will be require to pay 25% of your reservation to confirm your booking, the Balance must be paid in cash on arrival. You can pay the 25% deposit by credit card in our website.
3. Will I need to pay a damage deposit for the apartment?
 
 
Yes, there is a cash damage deposit which will have to be paid upon arrival at the apartment. The amount depends on the apartment and ranges from 200 euros to 300 euros. The damage deposit may be viewed on the webpage of each apartment.
  
 
4. How do I cancel my reservation?
 
 

• If the client cancels a fully paid reservation, there is a cancellation charge that will depend on the number of days before the beginning of the rental period. Please note that the 25% reservation deposit is non-refundable:

 

- More than 90 days before: 25% of the total amount.

- 60-89 days before: 30% of the total amount.

- 30-59 days before: 50% of the total amount.

- Less than 30 days before: 100% of the total amount.

 

- If for any reason beyond their control, including force majored.

 

• In the event that the client changes the dates, it will be understood as a new stay and it shall be subject to the cancellation conditions.

 

• It is strongly recommended that clients purchase trip cancellation insurance. Any cancellation, including force majored, will be subject to our clear and simple cancellation policy stated herein.

 

• If Mallorcanextdoor should be unable to provide the booked property to the, they reserve the right to transfer him to a property of similar characteristics.

 

• If no agreement can be reached both contractual parties are authorised to cancel the contract. In this case Mallorcanextdoor will refund to the client all money paid (except the part corresponding to the days that the apartment was used, if this were the case). Mallorcanextdoor will not be liable for further claims by the client.

  
  
5. What happens if I break something?
 
 
Please call mallorcanextdoor as soon as possible to assess the damage. We will do our best to try and fix or replace the item/s and reach a decision if whether there is any charge incurred.  
  
  
6. When is check in or check out?
 
 

The apartment will be available at 3pm in the afternoon. Normal check out time is 11am. Please request late check out prior to arrival and we will try our best to accommodate to your needs.

7. How will I get the keys to the apartment?
 
 
You will be met at the apartment in Mallorca upon your arrival by a member of Mallorcanextdoor staff who hand over the keys and also show you around the apartment.
  
  
8. Can I drink the water from the tap?
 
 
The tap water in Mallorca is clean and safe to drink throughout the city. However, some areas have a higher sodium content and may taste bitter to some. We generally recommend to stock up on bottled water for drinking at the local grocery store.
  
  
9. What if I need help or information during my stay?
 
 
There will be a member of Mallorcanextdoor staff available to answer any of your questions during business hours. Outside business hours you can also contact us in a case of emergency.
  
  
10. Will I need an adaptor for using the appliances in the apartment?
 
 
For all appliances supplied in the apartments you will not need continental European adaptors. Hairdryers are supplied but to operate other bathroom appliances which you might bring on your travels like electric shavers, curling irons etc., you will need a continental European adaptor.
